Installation problem samba user

Hello, im following the centos installation but im not able to set the password for the samba user erpxe.... this is the output:

[root@pxe tftpboot]# smbpasswd -a erpxe
New SMB password:
Retype new SMB password:
Failed to add entry for user erpxe.

Why? how i can solve ?

Hi,
You need to add a Unix user before you add the SMB user:

useradd --no-create-home -s /dev/null erpxe
smbpasswd -a erpxe
