ERPXE Community

I've been using erpxe for a few months now (really pleased with the system) but I do have one small issue thats starting to get slightly annoying... load times

So far when I go to boot;
Acronis
Hirens
REDO
AVG
Open Diagnostics

they take 5+ minutes to load

the server (running Ubuntu 14) has a GB nic & is hooked upto a GB switch
the client PC also has a GB nic & is hooked upto the same GB switch



Ok now something weird... booting it in a VM off a laptop everything boots nice and fast, hmmm wonder if its an issue with the older hardware in the pc?

There are several ROMs included with ERPXE you should try switching to a different one and see how it works.

You should also try using the latest pxelinux.0

Don't forget to update the rest of the files in /tftpboot/boot/isolinux/

or maybe try the using version 4

If none of this helps then it could be a hardware issue or a driver issue with one of your NICs.

Running the newer pxelinux.0 is working!

but now I have a new issue running Panda, I shall post in a new area that way if anyone runs into the same issue its easily searchable.
