Linux Mint 17 - issues while booting

Post by KyRol » 02 Sep 2014, 15:37

I followed steps described at plugin's page. I installed plugin for Linux Mint 12 - it's Ubuntu x86 flavour. It does run however until some point. It's what I think is a reason:

Begin: Trying nfsmount -o nolock -o ro 10.0.0.1:/tftpboot/er/shares/linuxmint/ubuntu/i386/ /cdrom ... mount call failed - server replied: No such file or directory.

i actually have same issues with wat your encountering. Booting Live Linux Via NFS. Did you Try Installing a nfs client on the client side. to verify if the sahres are visible on your client pc? or check the plugin main menu. making it sure the the server ip and the menu plugin and nfs are the same....but i think i need to setup a CenTos ENT edition to make this nfs work with erpxe booting....

I encountered very same issue earlier while I used usb device. In this case was enough to edit boot line and replace word casper using linuxmint. I've got NFS at the server side installed, I've got also static IP and DHCP server enabled. I have Raspberry Pi as a server now. I created software stack repeating steps from ERPXE wiki, so my setup is exactly same.

Did You try setting up a Freenas or Nas4free it has a NFS services, or in your exports file in nfs server try
server_ip/tftpboot/er/shares -name:shares -public -range 10.0.X.X - 10.0.X.x
and restart nfs server... (this is For Windows Platform = WinXP) But im gonna try via Freenas with NFS support...hope it will work... :D :)
